Who we are
ExactMaterials ("we", "us", "the Site") is operated by Liviu Iulian Taune, based in Tutova, Romania. You can reach us at [email protected].
Because we are established in the European Union, this policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive, and it also covers the rights of visitors in US states with privacy laws such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia.
The short version
We do not ask you to register. We do not collect your name, your address or your project details. Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser and is never sent to us. What we do have is anonymous traffic statistics and advertising cookies set by Google, and you control the advertising ones.
What we collect and why
Calculator inputs. Room dimensions, material sizes, prices and any other
value you enter are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. They are not
transmitted to any server. If your browser allows it, the last set of values is stored
locally on your own device (in localStorage) so the tool remembers them next
time. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings. We cannot read this
data.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how people find us. It records anonymised information such as the pages you view, the approximate region you connect from, your device type and your referring source. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is disabled until you consent.
Advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure advertising.
Contact form. If you send us a message, the name, email address and message you provide are transmitted through Web3Forms to our email inbox so that we can reply. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard request logs including IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention. These are held by Cloudflare under its own retention policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at https://optout.aboutads.info.
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before any advertising cookie is set, through a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. If you do not consent, we still show ads, but they are non-personalised: they are based only on the content of the page you are reading and your approximate location, not on a profile of you.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months. Contact correspondence is kept for up to 24 months. Server logs follow Cloudflare's retention schedule. Data in your own browser stays there until you clear it.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, which you can do using the "Cookie settings" link in our footer.
If you are in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of targeted advertising and of any sale or sharing of personal information. Use the "Cookie settings" link to exercise the advertising opt-out.
To exercise any right, write to [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Romania this is the Autoritatea Naţională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP).
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Some of our providers are established in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
